Farm labor has its own rhythm. You bring on hands for harvest, for calving, for the busy stretch, and then the crew shrinks back down. Seasonal payroll, agricultural wage rules, and the timing that goes with a crop year are not the same as payroll for a shop on Main Street, and a lot of payroll outfits do not know the difference.
